My Focus Group.
I have asked five people to have a look at my poster. I started by asking them what genre they thought it was and then what they liked and disliked. I could then use this to come up with improvements for my poster.
Dawn Ainsworth: The genre is romance. The colours, fonts and so on suggest this. I like the simple style, use of colour and the image. The simple style makes it stand out and catches the audience’s eye. However, the font could be a different colour so that it is read a little easier.
Elliot Millington: The genre is a romance. The typeface looks handwritten, so it could relate to something in the story. The poster is quiet simple so it makes it out to be a simple story.
Callum Jenkins: The genre is dramatic/emotional. The title and the image suggest this to me. The light blue background is simple and this makes other text stand out well. The billing makes it look unprofessional, as it’s hard to read and its quiet close.
Mr Howlett: The genre romantic. The title stands out against the poster and the image works well because it looks as if the girl is looking at the title, which makes you want to look at the title. However, you could space out the billing so that it is easier to read.
Amelia Robinson: The genre is drama. I like the graphic because it links in with the title because she seems to be looking towards it, you do too. I don’t like the white writing with the light blue background because it doesn’t really stand out as the blue is too light.
